A legal entity is created
First of all, future members constitute a recognised association or a cooperative. One of these forms of aggregation is preferred because, by law the purpose of the renewable energy community cannot be to make a profit.
The area where the energy production system will be located is identified
The plant must be close to consumers but must not necessarily be owned by them: for example, it can belong to one or more members or third parties as well.
It is requested to obtain incentives provided by for law
Once the system is activated, it is time to contact the GSE (Energy Services Manager) to obtain the incentives provided for by law for shared energy. Incentives are awarded to the energy actually consumed: excess energy can be transferred to storage systems to be used at a later stage.
