    The law does not establish a single frequency for interventions but requires each system to be managed according to its own characteristics, the building’s intended use, and the occupants’ exposure level.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

    Who is affected by the regulation<\/h2>\r\n

    The scope of application is very broad. The new regulations affect all buildings equipped with aeraulic systems, including:<\/p>\r\n

      \r\n
    • healthcare facilities and nursing homes (RSAs);<\/li>\r\n
    • schools and universities;<\/li>\r\n
    • public and private offices;<\/li>\r\n
    • hotels and accommodation facilities;<\/li>\r\n
    • shopping malls;<\/li>\r\n
    • industries and sports facilities;<\/li>\r\n
    • commercial and tertiary sector buildings.<\/li>\r\n <\/ul>\r\n

      In practice, any organization using systems for air treatment and distribution must verify that their management complies with the new requirements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

      Why hygienic maintenance is different from routine maintenance<\/h2>\r\n

      A system can be perfectly functional mechanically and, at the same time, have suboptimal hygienic conditions.<\/p>\r\n
